Scenery Cottage is a small cottage in the centre of the ancient village of Bridford, high up on the eastern edge of Dartmoor. The cottage, which accommodates up to four adults, is believed to be over 200 years old and was once the village school! Scenery Cottage is close to the 17th Century Thomas Becket Church as well as the highly recommended Bridford Inn. Best of all, the cottage looks out over wonderful scenery (hence the name) and there are stunning walks literally from the doorstep. Whilst it is the perfect place for a long weekend break, there is more than enough to do and see to reward an extended stay too.

Bridford is located in the beautiful Teign Valley, providing an excellent base from which to explore this wonderful area. Although very popular with walkers and horse-riders, the village is not on the usual tourist trail and has remained unspoilt. This area is one of Dartmoor’s best kept secrets – a quiet, traditional village set in beautiful countryside in an area that has been captivating visitors for generations.

Dartmoor has acquired a justified reputation as one of Britain’s finest areas for walking and sight-seeing. Once experienced, it has a habit of drawing visitors back time and again!
